Welcome to Discipleship Foundation
Our vision is to encourage spiritual growth and to come alongside churches, ministry leaders, and individuals with resources that are clear, accessible, and rooted in God’s Word.
Discipleship Foundation was established by Leston Blackburn, who has served in pastoral ministry for nearly three decades across South Africa and the UK. With training in Pastoral Studies, Theology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Counselling, his desire is to help shape prayerful and thoughtful programmes that are biblically faithful and pastorally sensitive—meeting people where they are with clarity and hope.
This work is shared with a dedicated support team, who offer prayer, guidance, careful editing and wise input. Their contributions ensure that every resource is refined, accessible and spiritually nourishing.
Together, we seek to serve churches, leaders and individuals by offering tools and support that encourage growth, bring hope and renew vision.
Our heartbeat is simple: to help God’s people today journey deeper in their walk with the Lord and in Scripture, to grow in Christlike character, and to strengthen the health of the church for generations to come.

Our Beliefs
We affirm the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Nicene Creed. This Statement of Faith guides our worship, teaching, and mission.
-
We believe in one God—our loving Father, Creator of all things, seen and unseen. He is holy, eternal, and full of grace.
-
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, who came to bring salvation. Born of Mary, He lived among us, died for us, and rose again. He ascended to heaven and will return to make all things new.
-
We believe in the Holy Spirit who is present and active today. The Spirit speaks through Scripture, ministers through His gifts, strengthens the Church, and leads us in truth.
-
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God—fully trustworthy and authoritative for faith, life, and practice. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His purposes, and His invitation to live in relationship with Him. We seek to interpret and apply the Bible with humility, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
-
We believe Jesus calls us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength—and to love our neighbours with the same grace, kindness, and compassion we ourselves have received. Our desire is to follow in His footsteps: to love as He loved and to live with the humility, courage, and mercy that marked His life.
-
We belong to one Church, rooted in grace and united in faith. We affirm baptism, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the hope of life everlasting.
